Indirect Tax Manager

Overview

A growing organization is seeking a detail-oriented Sales & Indirect Tax Manager to oversee multistate and multi-entity indirect tax compliance. This role plays a key part in ensuring accurate reporting, audit readiness, and system integrity related to sales and indirect taxes.

• Prepare and file sales, use, property, and other indirect tax returns, including monthly reconciliations
• Manage exemption certificates, tax inquiries, and compliance requirements across jurisdictions
• Lead state tax audits from initiation through resolution in collaboration with internal teams
• Prepare audit support, information returns, and unclaimed property filings
• Maintain tax data accuracy within financial systems and assist with special projects as needed

This is a direct-hire position based in Atlanta with a hybrid schedule (3 days onsite, 2 remote). The role offers competitive medical, dental, and vision benefits, paid time off, flexible scheduling, and a collaborative work environment.

• 5+ years of experience in sales and indirect tax compliance, including audit support
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel
• Experience working with large ERP systems
• Familiarity with sales and use tax software such as Avalara, Sovos, or similar tools

• Experience with tax system implementations
• Exposure to state and local audits
• Background with platforms such as People Soft, Infor M3, or related systems
