Senior Commercial Banking Relationship Manager
We are seeking a traditional C&I Lender as Georgia Banking Company continues to focus on strategic growth. The Senior Commercial Relationship Manager will be responsible for maintaining and growing a portfolio of commercial clients typically with revenues between $10MM and $100MM in diversified industries across the Atlanta Metro, GA region and beyond. This includes facilitating, preparing, structuring, and fulfilling credit proposals for corporate clients.
You will assess client needs and use initiative to cross-sell other commercial products. An individual in this position has the skills and experience to be fully independent, including origination, structuring, and execution of complex transactions.
- Responsible for growing and maintaining relationships by coordinating all aspects of the relationship.
- Create and execute a business development strategy to generate new business opportunities for all areas of the Bank.
- Provide leadership and direction to other credit staff, facilitating strong communication between clients and internal staff while managing the profitability, quality, and liquidity of the assigned loan portfolio.
- Develop revenue growth through the generation of loans, deposits, fee income, and cross‑selling all applicable bank services.
- In conjunction with credit support, prepare and present credit proposals for existing and new clients; ensure proposals are complete, viable, and repayment sources are sound.
- Represent the Bank in the community by actively participating in civic affairs and local and professional organizations.
- At least 5–10 years of commercial lending experience, ideally at a community or regional bank.
- Demonstrated experience managing a C&I portfolio within the target market.
- Strong understanding of credit and/or underwriting.
- Formal credit training is preferred.
- Bachelor’s Degree preferred, ideally in a field relevant to banking.
- Exceptional oral and written communication skills (clear, concise, correct).
- Exceptional organizational and planning skills.
- Attentive to deadlines and detail.
- Effective decision‑making, judgment, and problem‑solving skills.
- Ability to take initiative and demonstrate creativity and innovation.
- Ability to work independently.
