Vice President, Accounting

Reporting directly to the Executive Vice President (EVP) of Finance/Chief Financial Officer (CFO) of Wellstar Health System, the Vice President of Accounting is a part of the overall health system financial department and is responsible for directing and overseeing the accounting functions of the health system which includes: general ledger accounting, inventory accounting, fixed asset accounting, accounts payable, investment accounting, internal and external financial reporting, tax accounting and reporting, third party reserve accounting and accounting research.

The ideal candidate will have a bachelor’s degree in finance or accounting, with at least 10 years of treasury or financial leadership in healthcare. Addtionally, the candidate will be proficient in decision support systems and financial software, with knowledge of cost accounting, budgeting, and financial statements to align resources with organizational goals. A master’s degree in business administration or management and Certified Treasury Professional (CTP), Certified Financial Analyst (CFA), or Certified Public Accountant (CPA) is preferred.
