Asset Manager job at Wood Partners. Atlanta, GA.
Wood Partners is looking to hire an asset manager that will assist with a wide range of asset management and finance matters including asset lease‑up and disposition strategy, reporting and research.
Responsibilities- Work collaboratively with the VP, Asset Management and SVP, Capital Markets on all asset management, capital markets, and finance matters
- Partner with the VP, Asset Management to provide oversight of lease‑ups and act as liaison amongst property management and development as well as joint venture equity partner
- Assist with the valuation analysis, broker selection, collection and review of due diligence materials for property dispositions
- Conduct regular site visits to evaluate property management, property marketability and market positioning, and physical condition of properties
- Prepare regular and ad hoc reports and presentations for internal and external stakeholders, ensuring data accuracy and consistency
- Perform strategic ad‑hoc financial modeling and underwriting
- Provide clear and timely communication of relevant and important information
- Maintain strict confidentiality of Company information
- Additional responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following: collaborate with the asset management team on the review of underwriting provided by development and property management, annual business planning, monthly operating deficit forecasts, real estate tax appeals and estimates, development programming input, and budget review
- BA or MBA in real estate, finance, economics or other related degree
- 3-5+ years of relevant real estate experience, preferably in multifamily
- Basic knowledge of finance, operations, and accounting principles in multifamily real estate
- Demonstrated eagerness to learn and work both within a team and independently
- Strong quantitative and analytical skills
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Extremely organized with high attention to detail
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and financial modeling
