Manager of Accounting

Fast-growing, well regarded, holding company. The company is well funded, acquisitive, and is experiencing considerable growth. We are seeking an Accounting Manager that will report to the Corporate Controller/Head of Finance. This is a hybrid role based in Atlanta.

The Company is established with diverse operations across professional services, commercial services, and technology.

Mid $8 figure revenue, profitable and well capitalized
Strong growth trajectory across diverse and established customer base
M&A strategy in place with current and future add‑on acquisitions in process
Accounting support team in place and systems are implemented

Seeking a corporate accounting professional that can operate in a fast-moving environment. The Controller/Head of Finance is very collaborative, and this role will have visibility across the organization.

• Oversee the preparation, review, and analysis of financial statements and reports to ensure accuracy and compliance with GAAP.
• Manage the month‑end and year‑end close processes, ensuring timely completion.
• Develop and implement accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls to enhance operational efficiency.
• Review and approve journal entries, reconciliations, and other accounting deliverables.
• Coordinate and oversee tax reporting and compliance activities, including collaboration with external tax advisors.
• Monitor and analyze financial data to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement.
• Support internal and external audits by preparing documentation and coordinating audit activities.
• Collaborate with senior leadership to develop budgets, forecasts, and financial strategies.

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field
• Minimum of 5-7 years of progressive accounting experience, including at least 2 years in a supervisory or managerial role.
• Thorough knowledge of accounting principles, practices, and regulations (GAAP).
• Proficiency in accounting software, such as Fresh Books, Quick Books, or equivalent platforms.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including Vlookups, pivot tables, and data analysis tools.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial data and provide actionable insights.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to manage and motivate a team.
