• Direct and oversee financial functions at Emory Healthcare, focusing on accuracy, timeliness, and financial reporting.
• Prepare and maintain accurate general ledger, transactions, and financial management reporting including monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, reconciliations, and management reports.
• Manage financial accounting functions and data processing, ensuring adherence to GAAP/FASB.
• Manage internal controls designed to mitigate risk, protect assets, and support the financial infrastructure of the Emory Healthcare system and its university partner.
• Manage EHC asset and liability accounts; ensure proper accounting methodology, techniques, policies, and reconciliations.
• Support tax reporting and compliance, including federal, state, and local tax compliance.
• Partner to sustain a culture of continuous improvement and demonstrate flexibility in a dynamic environment where needs change.
• Create a cohesive work team that collaborates across EHC partners to achieve financial goals and mission.
• Ensure that financial reports reconcile to the system of record.
• Partner with business operations to improve processes and procedures for accurate and timely financial reporting.
• Ensure regulatory and state reporting is completed accurately and reconciles to the system of record.
• Ensure all financial accounting entries are recorded accurately and timeliness in the system of record.
• Provide leadership, ongoing feedback, and management to advance and develop team members.
• Specialize in strategic areas: special projects/process improvement, EHC consolidations, cash and accounts receivable with division reporting, fixed assets and leased assets with division reporting, liabilities and debt with division reporting, payroll and benefits with division reporting.

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Ten years of related experience, including three years in hospital or health care finance; supervisory experience and managed care experience.
• Preferred:
  Ten years of financial analysis or accounting experience, revenue cycle experience, business planning experience, and knowledge of clinical service lines; MBA, Masters in Finance, MHA, CPA.
