A well-established public accounting firm is looking to bring on an experienced Tax Manager to support its growing tax practice. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a collaborative environment, enjoys client-facing work, and brings deep expertise in tax compliance and strategic tax planning. You’ll work closely with the broader tax team to build strong client relationships and deliver guidance across a full range of tax areas, including individual, partnership, corporate, trust, and estate matters.
Basepay range
$/yr - $/yr

3 days in office, 2 days at home (you can pick your days in office)
What You’ll Do- Oversee multiple client engagements while maintaining the firm’s quality standards
- Provide technical tax insight and advisory support to clients across a variety of entity types
- Review tax filings prepared by staff and senior-level team members, ensuring accuracy and compliance
- Communicate proactively with leadership regarding project status, challenges, and recommended solutions
- Participate in networking and professional outreach to enhance industry presence
- Guide and mentor junior team members; contribute to performance evaluations
- Manage billing responsibilities and understand the financial drivers of the practice
- Stay informed on evolving tax laws and regulatory updates
- Support firm policies, procedures, and initiatives
- Assist with additional tasks and special projects as needed
- Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
- Highly organized with strong research capabilities and the ability to manage competing deadlines
- Proven success managing multiple engagements at once
- Recognition or developing visibility within a tax specialty area is a plus
- Ability to communicate complex tax concepts clearly to clients
- Experience overseeing or training junior staff preferred
- Industry experience in construction, real estate, technology, manufacturing, distribution, or service provider
- Active CPA license required
- Extensive experience with business taxation, including C corporations, S corporations, and partnerships
- Background in multi-state filings and consolidated returns
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required;
Master’s in Taxation strongly preferred - Minimum of 7 years of experience in public accounting or a comparable tax-focused environment
