Associate – Asset Management

Landmark Properties, Inc.

The Associate will assist the Investment Management Team with asset management functions including budget preparation, implementation of leasing strategy, “value‑add” business plan executions, interfacing with joint venture partners, appraisal reviews, and other assignments. The Associate will also assist with financings, recapitalizations, and dispositions across the assigned portfolio.

Reports to: Director – Asset Management

Direct Reports: None

Duties / Responsibilities
  • Assist with oversight and task management of Analyst team.
  • Lead external partner/lender reporting responsibilities.
  • Assist with implementation of asset management and leasing strategies.
  • Assist with review and finalization of proposed budgets prepared by operations team.
  • Assist with preparation of cash flow analyses and investment return projections.
  • Assist with evaluation and execution of financings, recapitalizations, and dispositions.
  • Compile and review investment analysis for presentation and distribution to management, lenders, and investment partners.
  • Provide advanced analytical and financial modeling to analyze property performance, assist with hold/sell/refinance recommendations and address ad‑hoc reporting requests to ownership.
  • Assist with information dissemination and review of annual appraisals.
  • Conduct visits to owned assets to inspect the assets, perform due diligence, and conduct market research.
Education & Experience
  • +/- 3 years of Commercial Real Estate experience.
  • Bachelor's degree preferably with a focus in Business, Real Estate, Finance, or other relevant subject matter;
    Master's degree preferred.
Preferred Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
  • Relevant experience and track record of advancement in commercial real estate finance and/or investment analysis.
  • Advanced Microsoft Office skills; advanced/expert in MS Excel.
  • Strong analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Work Environment

  • Travel: 10%.
Physical Demands
  • Must stand, walk, sit, use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl and talk or hear.
  • Requires close, distance, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
  • May infrequently drive a vehicle (intrastate and interstate travel) or be subject to air travel for company business.
