Rev Spring is seeking a highly motivated and detail‑oriented Financial Analyst to join our dynamic Finance team. The ideal candidate is a self‑starter who excels at financial modeling, possesses deep expertise in SaaS reporting metrics, and has the interpersonal skills necessary to drive cross‑functional collaboration and lead meetings effectively. This role is critical in providing financial planning, analysis, and reporting to support key business decisions and strategic growth initiatives.
Key Responsibilities- SaaS Reporting & Analysis:
Develop, maintain, and analyze key SaaS metrics (e.g., ARR, MRR, churn, CAC, LTV, Net Retention) to provide insightful commentary on business performance and trends. - Financial Modeling:
Build and maintain sophisticated three‑statement financial models (Income Statement, Balance Sheet, and Cash Flow) for forecasting, budgeting, and long‑range planning. - Budgeting & Forecasting:
Partner with department heads to manage annual operating plans and monthly/quarterly financial forecasts, ensuring accuracy and alignment with strategic goals. - Business Partnering:
Act as a finance lead for specific departments, providing ad‑hoc analysis, reporting, and financial guidance to help them manage their budgets and achieve operational efficiencies. - Reporting:
Prepare detailed monthly and quarterly financial performance reports for senior management and the Board of Directors. - Process Improvement:
Identify and implement improvements in financial processes, reporting methodologies, and data integrity.
- 3+ years of progressive experience in Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A), investment banking, or corporate finance.
- Expert‑level proficiency in SaaS metrics and reporting is mandatory.
- Proven ability to build and maintain complex three‑statement financial models from scratch.
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, complex formulas) and experience with financial systems (e.g., ERP, budgeting software).
- Exceptional Attention to Detail: A meticulous approach to data, modeling, and reporting is non‑negotiable.
- Self‑Starter/Ownership Mentality:
Ability to proactively identify necessary tasks, take ownership of projects from inception to completion, and work independently. Ability to prioritize, meet tight deadlines, and achieve effective results in a fast‑paced environment. - Strong Interpersonal and Communication
Skills:
The maturity and professionalism to effectively interface with all levels of the company, including senior leadership and cross‑functional teams. - Leadership and Presentation
Skills:
A confident and engaging personality with the ability to lead and drive productive calls/meetings, articulate complex financial information clearly, and influence outcomes. - Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
- Direct experience using Pigment/Net Suite Planning and Budgeting Cloud (NSPB) or similar modern FP&A tools (e.g., Anaplan, Adaptive Planning).
- Experience in a high‑growth technology or software company.
Ability to read, analyze and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from a variety of both internal and external sources.
