Senior Payment Analyst

Position Summary

Responsible for overseeing and managing the daily reporting and analytics functions related to payment processing. This role ensures the accuracy and efficiency of financial transactions, performs payment reconciliations, produces comprehensive reports, and drives continuous process improvements to enhance operational effectiveness.

• Manages and monitors daily payment processing operations, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with established procedures.
• Reconciles incoming and outgoing payments, promptly identifying and resolving discrepancies.
• Prepares and distributes detailed payment activity reports, highlighting trends, exceptions, and opportunities for improvement.
• Collaborates with internal teams, including Accounting, Collections, and Customer Service, to resolve complex payment issues and ensure proper application.
• Supports financial audits by providing documentation, analysis, and explanations related to payment transactions.
• Serves as the primary contact for accounting during daily and monthly reconciliations, assisting in variance resolution.
• Analyzes transaction data and exception reports to identify risks and recommend process enhancements.
• Contributes to the development and maintenance of payment processing policies, procedures, and system updates.
• Assists with process mapping and documentation to support operational clarity and consistency.
• Maintains confidentiality of sensitive information and adheres to departmental and organizational policies.

Required Experience: Minimum 5 years previous experience in Accounting/Finance, payment processing, financial analysis, or a related role.

Education: Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or related field (or equivalent experience)

Overtime – required on an as needed basis.

Travel 0-10% - as required on an as needed basis.

Must have reliable transportation and live within a commutable distance to one of the following cities: Atlanta, GA

Understanding of cost accounting is a plus.

Experience in the accounting and processing of automobile loans and funding is strongly desired.

Experience with data and data analysis
