Job SummaryPerforms a wide variety of complex data analytics and financial modeling to support the overall business development strategies of the assigned industry Corporate – Investment Banking team. Responsibilities include syndicated and bilateral lending, capital markets, treasury management, and other corporate services. Partners closely with leadership to attract, retain, and acquire new or expanded client relationships. Drives pitch origination and manages deal execution with leadership.
Assists in day‑to‑day operations, special projects, and mentors junior team members.
- Work with senior bank leaders to develop and support the execution of effective strategies for originating and executing lending, public/private capital, and advisory mandates in the designated industry sector(s). This includes preparing detailed financial models, pitches, offering memoranda, and other presentations.
- Perform financial statement modeling, indicative transaction structuring, pricing guidance, and data analytics to support new business development strategies. Prepare talking points and explanations for utilization during calling efforts.
- Support cross‑functional deal teams, including underwriters, analysts, and associates, by providing financial and statistical data to determine customer creditworthiness and transaction viability.
- Ensure all transactions and processes comply with regulatory and company guidelines, policies, and procedures.
- Maintain a high standard of integrity, ethics, and compliance; identify opportunities and take action to enhance compliance within the organization. Represent Synovus in a positive and professional manner.
- Monitor risk within functional areas, observing all policies, procedures, laws, regulations, and risk limits. Report known or suspected violations to the appropriate authority promptly.

- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities- Series 63 and Series 79 Securities licenses required within a pre‑determined timeframe, if not already held.
- Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, including Excel modeling.
