Summary

Floor Staff team members are classified based on individual theatre needs and/or employee availability as variable hour, part-time fixed, part-time regular or full-time hourly employees. Primary responsibility is ensuring guests receive exceptional service. Floor Staff may be scheduled to work in the Box Office, Concession Stand, or as an Usher. Floor Staff employees must act as a representative of Regal in a way that supports our mission and policies.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Essential duties and responsibilities for each position include, but are not limited to the following:

Ticket Sales
  • Operating POS system, handling cash drawer, credit cards, travelers’ checks, gift cards and redeemed tickets, passes and coupons
  • Upselling/suggestive selling of Premium Viewing Experience (3D, RPX, IMAX)
  • Promoting the Regal Crown Club program
  • Ensuring tickets are sold in accordance with MPAA rating system and company policy
  • Responding to phone calls and questions from guests per guest service philosophy
Concession
  • Operating POS system and managing cash drawer, credit cards, travelers’ checks, gift cards and coupons; managing concession stock inventory
  • Promoting the Regal Crown Club program
  • Operating, preparing and cleaning concession equipment
  • Complying with local, state and federal food safety laws
  • Abide by federal and state laws regarding breaks and/or meal periods
  • Ensure alcohol certification and training are current where applicable
  • If selling alcohol, be of legal age to sell/serve according to state/local laws
  • Read and understand training materials covering topics such as sexual harassment and discrimination
Usher
  • Tearing tickets, collecting and depositing stubs, directing patrons to auditoriums
  • Inspecting backpacks and packages where applicable
  • Managing crowd control and assisting guests in finding seats
  • Enforcement of MPAA rating system
  • In-theatre inspections to monitor picture/sound quality and safety
  • Report problems or unusual situations to management
  • In-auditorium concession sales as directed
  • Cleaning auditoriums and maintaining restrooms, lobby, and hallways
  • Monitor vending equipment; assist with opening/closing duties
Food & Beverage / Additional Roles
  • Provide quality beverages and food products adhering to recipes and presentation standards
  • Prepare and serve beverages and food items; provide product details on request
  • Follow health, safety and sanitation guidelines
  • Operate POS system and maintain clean/organized workspace
  • Operate, prepare and clean equipment
  • Promote Regal Unlimited and Regal Crown Club Card
  • Performs other duties as assigned; maintain regular attendance
Qualifications

Education/

Experience:

Completion of cast certification program as a cast member and as box office cashier or progress towards completion is required.

Alcohol responsibilities (if applicable):
If the theatre sells alcohol, complete legally required state/local training and Regal Responsible Beverage Server training on Regal Online University.

Language Ability:
Possess good public speaking, listening, and clear communication.

Math Ability:
Perform calculations with speed and accuracy and identify errors.

Reasoning Ability:
Identify problems, gather relevant data, evaluate information, and act appropriately under pressure.

Personal

Skills:

Excellent communication with customers, co-workers and management; set goals and priorities to achieve objectives.

Physical Demands

The physical demands describe the requirements to perform essential functions. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities.

Standing, walking, sitting, using hands, reaching, talking or hearing; possible climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching or crawling. May lift up to 60 pounds. Vision requirements include close, distance, peripheral vision and depth perception.
