WSP is currently initiating a search for an Aviation Architectural Project Manager to work out of our Atlanta, GA Project office at ATL Airport
.

Our Aviation Technical Excellence Center provides engineering and planning services for airports facilities, terminals and supports WSP's projects around the world. The Aviation team works on multiple projects simultaneously, in close coordination with other technical departments.

• Strong oral and written communication skills in English, strong interpersonal skills, and the ability to clearly and effectively present information to clients, contractor, other staff and management.
• Proactive, forward thinking risk management throughout the project lifecycle.
• Strong analytical and Core and Shell, Coordination with Contractors and Stakeholders.
• Understanding design drawings of scope, schedule and budget.
• Development of project scopes, budgets and schedules.
• Development and management of Operational Readiness Activation Transition (ORAT).
• Understanding and participating with technical aspects of contract negotiation, presentations and meetings.
• Understanding of review and approval process for progress payments for design and construction, including Tenant Reimbursable Agreement (TRA).
• Maintenance of clear lines of communication and contractual relationship between Owner, Contractor, Staff and Design Team.
• Ability to direct others in the field such as CMAR and third‑party consultants to consistently complete tasks safely and efficiently.
• The willingness to learn new technologies.

• Bachelor's Degree in Architecture, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering. Additional experience in lieu of degree.
• 12+ years of experience in aviation, Owner’s Representation and Construction, Management.
• Able to review contract documentation at all stages of the project.
• The ability to understand AutoCAD/ construction drawings.
• Demonstrated knowledge and experience with FAA advisory circulars and procedures.
• Strong airside and landside experience on large hub U.S. commercial airports.
• Ability to deal effectively with a wide variety of industry, government, and public contracts on project‑related matters.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills, strong interpersonal skills, and the ability to clearly and effectively present complex information to all levels of employees, management, and clients.
• Valid driver's license must meet standards to qualify for and maintain the company's vehicle driving privileges as outlined in the Company's Motor Vehicle Safety Policy.
• Exercise responsible and ethical decision‑making regarding company funds, resources and conduct and adhere to WSP's Code of Conduct and related policies and procedures.
• Proven track record of upholding workplace safety and ability to abide by WSP's health, safety and drug/alcohol and harassment policies.
• Hire is contingent upon client approval, being able to obtain an airport security SIDA badge, and the successful completion of a background check which will be initiated upon receipt of your signed offer letter. Also, as a condition of employment, it is required to provide proof of U.S. citizenship, permanent residency in the U.S., or current authorization to work in the U.S. within (3) days of your start date.
