We are seeking an Aeronautical / Structural Design Engineer to support aircraft structural design and development for production-representative aircraft programs. This role will support the creation and revision of engineering drawings, layouts, and 3D models while ensuring accurate configuration and data management within aircraft design systems.
The engineer will work closely with stress engineering and cross-functional teams to support aircraft structures design, installations, and validation of engineering data used for production and support of operational aircraft.
Responsibilities- Design and develop 3D models, layouts, and engineering drawings using CATIA V5 (and possibly 3DX/CATIA V6)
- Support aircraft structures design and integration for production representative aircraft
- Develop and maintain Bill of Material (BOM) data structures to support design and configuration management
- Coordinate with stress engineering teams and cross-functional groups
- Support aircraft systems installations
, including fluid systems, harness routing, and equipment installations - Establish structural specifications and support engineering validation and testing activities when required
- 5+ years of recent CATIA V5 experience
- 6+ years of experience creating 3D models
- 4+ years of aircraft structures design experience
- 2+ years of Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T)
- Ability to support BOM and engineering data management
- Strong understanding of aircraft structural design principles
- Experience with CATIA V6 / 3
DEXPERIENCE - Experience supporting aircraft systems installations (fluid systems, harnesses, equipment)
