Our work supports the Rotary and Mission Systems (RMS) Strategic Studies Group (SSG), helping envision and enable next‑generation capabilities for our customers and the warfighter. Through modeling, simulation, and analytical insight, we inform product strategy and Department of Defense operational concepts for the future battlespace.
The WorkAs part of the OA organization, this role leads and executes studies using modeling, simulation, and analysis of military systems. These efforts assess the impact of new operational concepts, system designs, weapons, tactics, and force structure on mission effectiveness and survivability.
The role also supports cross‑business area simulations, virtual events, and wargaming activities.
This senior analyst exercises judgment in defining objectives, leads complex analysis efforts, and serves as the primary OA interface with internal and external stakeholders.

Basic Qualifications- BA in Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, Operations Research, or Computer Science with 5 years of experience, or a related MA with 3 years of experience.
- Proficiency in Object‑Oriented programming languages with experience developing and applying analytical models, simulations, or data‑analytics models.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD government clearance at the Secret level.
- Must be a U.S. Citizen.
- Travel up to 10% as needed.
- Military operational experience.
- Experience with AFSIM modeling and simulation tools, techniques, and methodologies.
- Experience with Python, R, MATLAB, or Excel VBA.
- Modeling & Simulation experience with tools such as AFSIM, Cameo, or SysML.
- Experience with version control systems like Git/Git Lab.
- Familiarity with Agile practices and execution.
- Experience with data visualization and analysis tools.
This position requires a government security clearance at the Secret level, and you must be a U.S. Citizen for consideration.

Ability to work remotely:
Part‑time remote telework. The employee selected will work part of the schedule remotely and part of the schedule at a Lockheed Martin facility; the specific weekly schedule will be discussed during hiring.
Work schedules:
Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules. Schedules range from a standard 40‑hour week over five days to condensed schedules providing additional time away from the office, in addition to paid time‑off benefits.
Schedule for this position: 4×10 hour day, 3 days off per week.
