Job Description & How to Apply Below

At Case-Mate, we don’t just build phone cases — we build products people carry every single day. We obsess over details, design with purpose, and move fast.

About the Role

We’re looking for a Product Engineer / Technical Designer who thrives in a high-energy, multi-project environment and knows how to turn big ideas into beautifully executed, production-ready products.

Responsibilities
  • Drive projects through every milestone — from prototype to tooling to production
  • Convert 2D concepts into 3D CAD models for prototyping
  • Collaborate closely with Industrial Design, Sourcing, and cross-functional teams
  • Lead supplier communications and negotiate tooling + unit costs
  • Develop product specifications and quality standards
  • Partner with third-party labs to execute industry and custom testing
  • Troubleshoot quality issues and support customer feedback loops
  • Explore new materials, manufacturing processes, and emerging CE technologies
  • Help identify and qualify new suppliers as our business evolves
  • Maintain document control and product development organization
  • Work across global time zones (yes — some non-standard hours happen)
  • Travel (primarily Asia) is about 20%. Mandarin is a plus, but not required.
Qualifications
  • A degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Industrial Design, Fashion Design, or a related field
  • 3–5 years in Consumer Products, Leather goods, Accessories, or similar industries
Required Skills
  • Strong experience in molded products and electronics packaging
  • Advanced CAD skills (Solid Works & Rhino preferred)
  • Experience developing and implementing product test plans

    Strong Excel and analytical capabilities
  • Confidence navigating supplier conversations and manufacturing environments

We’re collaborative, fast-paced, and serious about continuous improvement. If you’re someone who wants to influence product direction, drive smarter cost decisions, and help shape the next generation of consumer tech accessories — this is your seat at the table.
