Project Engineer – Civil / Land Development

A confidential, multi-office land development consulting firm is growing its Atlanta team and looking for a Project Engineer to take on larger technical ownership across site/civil projects throughout the Greater Atlanta market. This role is ideal for an engineer who wants to keep sharpening technical skills while also getting exposure to the coordination and client‑facing side of delivery (with room to move toward PM over time, if that’s your path).
Whatyou’ll work on
- Site civil design for commercial, residential, and industrial developments:
site layout, grading, drainage, and utilities - Stormwater and hydrology analysis/modeling and design support
- Interpret zoning/development requirements
, site constraints, and agency standards to guide design decisions - Coordinate with PMs, architects, contractors, and internal disciplines to deliver complete plan sets
- Review technical reports, construction documents, and cost inputs
- Support permitting and agency coordination
- Provide guidance/mentorship to junior engineers and support quality reviews
- BS/MS in Civil Engineering (or closely related)
- 6+ years of site/civil land development design + permitting experience
- Knowledge of local site development processes and regulatory standards
- Strong communication, teamwork, and problem‑solving skills
- EIT required (or in progress);
PE preferred
- Technical growth + mentorship from experienced engineers/PMs
