Our client is seeking a Senior Structural Engineer with 10–15 years of experience to join their Atlanta office. This is an excellent opportunity for a driven, collaborative professional looking to take on a leadership role within a dynamic, forward‑thinking engineering firm. The ideal candidate brings strong technical expertise along with client-facing and business development capabilities.
In this role, you will work directly with clients, collaborate closely with discipline leaders and business development teams, and play a key role in mentoring and growing a high‑performing structural engineering team within a multidisciplinary environment.
Requirements Technical Leadership- Collaborate with regional offices to deliver integrated project solutions.
- Design steel, concrete, and masonry systems for new and existing construction.
- Coordinate complex, multi-discipline projects from concept through construction.
- Lead structural analysis, design, and detailing for commercial, industrial, institutional, federal, and infrastructure projects.
- Manage project budgets, schedules, and deliverables.
- Maintain strong internal and external client relationships.
- Serve as a primary point of contact for clients, architects, contractors, and owners.
- Develop fee-based and qualification-based proposals.
- Participate actively in marketing and business development initiatives.
- Mentor junior engineers and support team development.
- Willingness to travel as needed.
- Ability to multitask and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
- 10–15 years of progressive structural engineering experience.
- Excellent verbal, written, organizational, and time management skills.
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from an ABET-accredited program.
- Proven experience designing steel, concrete, and masonry structures.
- Strong project management skills, including budget and schedule oversight.
- Proficiency with structural analysis and design software such as RISA, RAM, ETABS, Enercalc, AutoCAD, and Revit.
- Project Management certifications are a plus.
- Experience with light-gauge steel and timber design.
- Local AHJ experience and established industry relationships.
- Active involvement in professional or industry organizations.
