JOB DESCRIPTION
The Engineering Intern is responsible for assisting the Dexter Team with engineering project dentification, project support, and projectleadership as assigned by partnering and collaborating with the Engineering Team and Site Team.
As an Industrial Engineering Intern, you will be working onrobust, hands-on projects. Potential projects may include, but not limited to:
- Projectdefinition, scoping and documented project plan
- Continuous improvement
- Capitalprojects
- Safety improvements
- Automation
- Debottleneckingand capacity utilization
- Timestudies
- Ergonomicstudies and improvements
- Troubleshootingequipment and processes
- Plantlayout
- Project estimation
- Material handling
- Createdocuments, drawings, training as needed to support and complete project(s)
- Excellentsense of ethics and accountability
- Enthusiasm and a passion for engineering and manufacturing
- Dependable,responsible, on time, and consistent
- Ability to maintain professionalism in all settings
- Possessstrict confidentiality of company patent, trademark, and business information
- Strong organizational and time management
- Problem-solving and trouble-shooting skills
- Solid understanding of engineering fundamentals commensurate with year of studies
- Ability toadapt to frequent priorities and changes within the team and the business
- Strongsafety orientation and commitment
- Curiosity
You must be actively enrolled an accredited university working towards a bachelors or masters degree in Industrial Engineering or related engineering degree.
