We are seeking multiple Interns for Summer 2026! These are paid, in-person, 12 week internships based out of Atlanta, GA.

The Opportunity

Flock Safety is seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Electrical Engineering Intern to join our team and gain hands-on experience building connected hardware products in a fast-paced engineering environment. In this role, you'll work alongside experienced electrical, firmware, and mechanical engineers to support the design, development, testing, and validation of electrical systems that power Flock's IoT devices. You'll contribute to real-world projects by assisting with circuit and PCB design, performing engineering analysis such as power budgets and signal integrity, supporting prototype bring-up and debugging, and participating in testing and validation of production hardware.

The internship offers meaningful exposure to the full hardware development lifecycle, from component selection and schematic documentation to system-level troubleshooting, design reviews, and new product development discussions, providing practical experience that complements your academic learning.

The Skillset

* Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master's degree program in Electrical Engineering or a related field.

* Basic understanding of electrical engineering principles, including circuit analysis, digital/analog electronics, and signal processing.

* Familiarity with PCB design and schematic capture tools (e.g., Altium Designer, KiCad, OrCAD).

* Hands-on experience with electronics lab equipment (oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, multimeters, power supplies).

* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

* Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

* Ability to learn quickly and adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced startup environment.

* Familiarity with embedded systems, microcontrollers, or IoT devices is a plus.

* Experience with soldering, PCB rework, or hardware prototyping is a plus.

* Strong work ethic, attention to detail, and willingness to get hands-on with hardware.

Compensation

In this role, you'll receive an hourly rate of $30-35 USD. Interns are expected to work a full 40-hour week during the duration of their internship.

This role is based in Atlanta, GA, where you'll join our dynamic team to collaborate in person and drive innovation. Candidates must reside in or relocate to Atlanta, GA, for this position.
