Under general supervision, combines strong technical skills with knowledge of the database administration. Works on one or more projects of high complexity.

The Georgia Department of Transportation is seeking to hire an Engineering Software Consultant to assist and lead in the support and implementation of engineering software within the Department.
Local candidates only as the selected candidate will be required to come to the office twice a week.

• Assist Department personnel in the implementation of new engineering software

• Serve as one of the Administrators for the Department's Engineering Document Management system (Bentley Project Wise)

• Support the Department's electronic file exchange tool (Bentley Project Wise Deliverables Management) for internal and external staff

• Provide day to day user support

• Assist in maintaining the Department's Engineering Software standards and documentation

• Develop/conduct engineering software user training sessions

• Document/revise existing and new business processes to meet new/revised engineering software requirements

• Develop engineering software best practices

• Investigate new and emerging engineering technology and make recommendations to Department personnel and management for implementation.

Qualifications:

• Excellent organizational and planning skills - Required

• Experience using/supporting document management systems such as Bentley Project Wise - Preferred (2 years)

• Competent in the use of MS Office suite - Required (5 years)

• Experience developing training materials and conducting training sessions - Preferred - (2 years)

• Experience providing customer support - Preferred (2 years)

• Experience in developing technical documentation - Required (2 years)

• Experience working in an Architectural or Engineering environment - Required (5 years)

• Familiarity with Service
