Information

The Campus Engineering team supports all aspects of design, construction, operation, and maintenance of campus facilities, including buildings, central campus utility plants, and associated utility systems (chilled water, steam, power, natural gas).

During design, we create and maintain design standards for building systems (HVAC, plumbing, power distribution, lighting) and review consultants’ documents to ensure compliance. During construction, we provide advice on unforeseen conditions, review material and equipment submittals, and may manage day‑to‑day contractor activities on selected projects. Post‑construction, we advise Operations & Maintenance and Utilities Maintenance teams and plan for equipment replacement to increase efficiency and resilience.

Job Summary

Plan and execute the operation, maintenance, repair, replacement, and location of mechanical systems including HVAC, chilled water, steam, sewers, and associated components. Develop long‑term mechanical replacement plans and annual execution plans. Define mechanical training needs and deliver training. Interact consistently with staff, management, project managers, building managers, building occupants, vendors, contractors, students, and visitors.
