The Test and Evaluation team at Anduril plays a crucial role in our mission, ensuring that every product meets the highest standards of performance and reliability. Our team conducts full system level development testing, new production acceptance testing, software validation testing and much more.

This position is looking for a highly motivated test and evaluation engineering manager for the Altius UAS platform. You will perform evaluation of hardware and software capabilities in lab and flight test environment and lead a team of test engineers. ABOUT THE JOB
The Test and Evaluation team is seeking a Test and Evaluation Engineering Manager. In this role you will lead a team of test engineers to conduct system level development testing and evaluate hardware and software readiness. WHAT YOU'LL DO
* Lead and mentor a team of test engineers, fostering their technical growth and ensuring adherence to best practices.
* Oversee the planning and execution of complex test efforts, including task delegation and resource coordination for team members.
* Collaborate closely with software engineers and cross functional teams to ensure thorough validation of new software, end-to-end functionality, and bug fixes.
* Conduct Software and Surrogate platform testing, including validation and regression tests to ensure new features align with system capabilities and mission objectives.
* Analyze data from tests to validate system performance and identify areas for improvement, iterating rapidly to refine hardware implementation and software behaviors.
* Create processes for testing system functionality using HITL and COTS UAS platforms
* Drive the advancement of Anduril's testing methodologies, with a focus on Group 2 UAS, to ensure robust and reliable performance in complex operational scenarios.
* Contribute to the strategic direction of the T&E team, identifying opportunities for process improvements and advocating for advanced testing tools and methodologies. REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
* A bachelor's degree in engineering, computer science, robotics, or a related technical field from an accredited institution, or equivalent experience in robotics or autonomous systems testing.
* Minimum of 6 years of experience in software/hardware testing, with a strong emphasis on autonomous or remotely piloted systems.
* Minimum 2 years in a lead or mentoring role for technical teams, or significant project leadership.
* Demonstrated ability in developing and executing test plans for complex systems within aggressive timelines.
* Willingness to work flexible hours and travel to various testing locations up to 25% of the time
* Must be able to obtain and maintain a U.S. Secret-Level security clearance. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
* Experience in the development, flight testing, and deployment of unmanned systems in a defense or aerospace context.
* Familiarity with software development practices and experience with programming languages used in autonomy and robotics (e.g., Python, C++, Rust).
* Hands-on experience with hardware integration in HITL and flight test environments. US Salary Range $125,000 - $155,000 USD The salary range for this role is an estimate based on a wide range of compensation factors, inclusive of base salary only. Actual salary offer may vary based on (but not limited to) work experience, education and/or training, critical skills, and/or business considerations.
