Responsible for understanding and interpreting requirements of a project within construction documents and specifications to design a controls system tailored to the specific project needs including effectively communicating with sales agents/customers at all stages of design. Uses visual software suite to help generate the requested deliverable set through the RFA process based on their interpretation and input. Suggest changes to deliverables to customer and amend original requirements.

Delivers bill of material, layout and/or submittal.

• Designs lighting systems based on construction documents and customer requirements.
• Utilizes construction software to review and modify project designs.
• Supports our sales agents and customers as it relates to lighting applications and system design.
• Collaborates and assists on special projects when required. Keeps up to date on Acuity products portfolio and industry standards.
• Excellent critical thinking skills, independent decision‑making ability.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Actively contributes to a culture of problem solving and continuous improvement.
• Ability to work in a hybrid role.
• Education Bachelor’s Degree or Equivalent.
• Experience 3 to 5 years Preferred Experience (i.e. industry experience)
• Experience with AutoCAD, AGI, Revit, or similar software.
• Advanced English.
