Are you a seasoned civil engineer ready to lead the inaugural projects driving our expansion into the Houston market? Ready to be the first boots on the ground for our Houston office and leverage your technical, project, and client management expertise to support the company's growth?

Our Client's expansion in Texas is driven by deep relationships with renowned Houston-based architecture firms and developers. You'll work collaboratively across this network as the go-to person accountable for delivering exceptional results and serving as a foundational touch point for our growing Houston presence.

You'll hit the ground running with immediate project ownership, direct client interaction, and the autonomy to make decisions that matter. Backed by the Client's proven reputation and our local network, you'll begin by leading high-profile automotive commercial projects while strengthening relationships and expanding our local portfolio.

Key Responsibilities Project & Technical Leadership:
  • Own projects end-to-end – Lead automotive commercial site development from concept to completion with full accountability for quality, budget, and timelines
  • Own the work – Prepare, delegate, and oversee plans using AutoCAD Civil 3D and coordinate with the California team
  • Be the technical expert – Provide guidance, ensure compliance with Texas regulations, and solve complex site development challenges
  • Collaborate strategically – Work across our partner network with architects, Client's project managers, engineers, and permitting specialists to deliver seamless results
Client Relationships & Business Growth:
  • Be the face of our Client in Houston – Establish ongoing dialogue and build trust with our partners' existing client base and internal teams
  • Navigate challenges with confidence – Proactively communicate issues, present solutions, and keep projects moving forward
  • Grow the network – Foster new client relationships to open doors for future opportunities in Houston and nationwide, while nurturing existing local relationships
Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license in Texas (or ability to obtain quickly)
  • 6+ years of civil engineering experience
  • Minimum 3+ years managing projects from concept to construction, focused on site/land development
  • Strong project management experience with proven results
  • Stellar client management skills with the ability to strategize and articulate issues with clients
  • Comprehensive understanding of local site development regulations and permitting processes
  • Firm grasp of AutoCAD Civil 3D
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills in a fast-paced environment
  • Commitment to maintaining a strong sense of professionalism, ethics, and a high standard of quality work
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States
