Electrical Design Engineer; EPLAN

Responsibilities

• Design of Hardware for custom build automated machinery and systems.
• Sizing and dimensioning of Controls, Measurements and drive technologies.
• Creation of electric hardware diagrams and BOM’s in PDM system.
• Participation and support in creation of safety concepts.
• Calculate proper incoming and branch circuit protection
• Calculate proper wire sizing, knowledge of Eplan.
• Creation of panel layouts and clarification of interfaces
• Create electrical wiring schematics, flow diagrams, panel layouts, Bill of Materials, organize release packages, and update schematics. Knowledge of Eplan would be of great advantage.
• Clarification of technical details with customers and suppliers.
• Participate in internal and customer design reviews, installations, and service calls when needed.
• Follow all policy and procedures to maintain ISO
  9000 Certification requirements.
• If required, temporary takeover of the role as a Main Responsible for Hardware Engineering within the Project and on behalf of the Project Manager

• An engineering degree, specializing in electronics, electrical or controls technology or equivalent 5 years’ experience in custom design per application systems, in automation, control system design, PLC and HMI PLCs.
• Proficiency in Allen Bradley or Siemens PLC’s, HMI’s, Servo control, and Electrical design.
• Knowledgeable of electrical and controls engineering theories and principles.
• Significant electrical aptitude and knowledge of acceptable practices, techniques, safety and codes.
• Ideally experience with Inverter, Power electronics and EMV technologies
• AutoCAD experience to modify electrical drawings and schematics.
• Eplan P8 or 2022 experience required
• Good knowledge of ISO / OSHA / cGMP requirements and current industry practices.
• Ability to work independently or together in a team environment.
• Strong written communication abilities.
• Travel or extend workday when required.
