Position OverviewWe are seeking an enthusiastic Environmental Specialist to join our team. This position supports the preparation of environmental documentation for transportation projects under the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA). You will work closely with senior staff to assess cultural, physical, and social environmental impacts of proposed transportation improvements.
Key Responsibilities- Assist in compiling and drafting NEPA documentation for transportation projects.
- Collect and analyze data on environmental factors (cultural, physical, social).
- Support senior staff in preparing reports and documentation.
- Ensure compliance with federal and state environmental regulations.
- Participate in field investigations and stakeholder coordination as needed.
- Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Civil Engineering, Planning, or Geography.
- Familiarity with NEPA processes and environmental impact assessments.
- Strong research and writing skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Completion of relevant training courses is preferred.
