Field Engineer

We’re looking for a hands-on Field / Construction Engineer to support an active industrial construction site. You’ll work shoulder-to-shoulder with construction crews and pipe fitters, answering the questions that stop work and turning IFC drawings into installable reality.

This is a short-term, high-impact role with the potential to extend.

• Walking the site to verify pipe routing and support locations
• Pulling real field dimensions (not guessing from drawings)
• Marking up IFC drawings in AutoCAD to reflect actual support locations
• Providing on-the-spot answers during fabrication and installation
• Resolving routing, elevation, and support issues before they become rework
• Acting as the bridge between construction, pipe fitters, and engineering

• Your decisions immediately impact fabrication and installation
• Minimal bureaucracy, maximum problem-solving
• Clear scope, defined timeline, and visible results
• Potential for extension if the fit is right

Must-Haves

• AutoCAD (2D markups – critical)
• Experience with pipe arrangements, pipe planning, and pipe supports
• Comfort working in an active construction environment

• Pipe stress or piping design background
• GD&T experience
• Strong spatial awareness and attention to detail
• Duration: ~6 months (potential extension)
• Start: February 2 or ASAP
• Schedule: Monday–Friday, 40 hours/week
• Field Time: ~10–20% (rest office-based)
