Overview

Experienced operational and strategic Talent Acquisition Leader with over a decade of experience (Ex-Amazon).

We are hiring a number of Site Engineers to work on projects close to Atlanta, GA. These are on-site roles for long-term projects. Projects after this assignment may be in another location or state, so some flexibility on travel/relocation in the future would be beneficial.

These positions focus on on-site layout support, quality inspections and progress reporting for construction installations, using XYZ's Augmented Reality technology, the Atom. The Atom enables viewing 3D BIM models as holograms/overlays through its visor, alongside the live environment for objectivity and efficiency.

XYZ Reality is the creator of an engineering-grade Augmented Reality solution for the construction industry. The Atom is a smart site-safe headset/hardhat used on projects to help complete schemes on time and within budget.

XYZ has grown to over 100 staff across the UK, US & Europe and works with mission-critical organisations and construction companies to deliver major projects.

As an Engineer / Surveyor at XYZ, you will wear the Atom to help eliminate construction and design errors on site. You will visualise design models in holograms through the visor and provide regular updates of potential clashes or errors by verifying what you see on site against the models.

• Conduct daily site inspections using the Atom (Augmented Reality headset) to ensure works are installed as per the BIM Model.
• Use a total station to set and traverse control points.
• Client communication and reporting.
• Produce inspection reports for the day.
• Attend meetings to coordinate with contractors and plan daily activities.
• Process and review all acquired data to ensure accuracy and reliability.
• Report to the Field Operations Manager, maintain an efficient workflow, and ensure inspections are conducted within the specified time frame.
• Work with the contractor to devise a weekly lookahead of inspections aligned with the master construction programme to de-risk incorrect installations.
• Obtain and prepare the latest approved Revit models for export to Holo Site.

• 2+ years of relevant experience in a field engineer or surveying role, ideally using a total station or laser scanners.
• A qualification in construction, land surveying, civil engineering, geospatial or geodetic engineering is preferred but not essential.
• Strong work ethic, ambition and interest in new technology.
• Knowledge of 3D software (Revit, Navisworks, etc.) or BIM/BIM
  360 is desirable but not essential and can be taught.
• Confident in using Microsoft Office.
• Essential:
  Clean criminal record and willingness to undergo background checks and drug tests due to security requirements of projects.
