Senior Project Manager – Water/Wastewater
Kimley‑Horn is looking for a motivated Senior Project Manager to expand our Water/Wastewater and Utilities practice in Chamblee, GA.
Location: Chamblee, GA
Salary Range: $130,000 – $140,000
Employment Type: Full‑time
Seniority Level: Director
Job Function: Project Management and Information Technology
Responsibilities- Manage, lead, and expand practice teams for multi‑discipline projects and programs in water/wastewater treatment, pumping systems, and large‑diameter conveyance (water distribution and wastewater collection).
- Develop an entrepreneurial vision for growth in the local water resource practice and beyond.
- Lead with a high degree of autonomy to direct, grow, and profitably manage the business.
- Leadership responsibilities include:
- Operating with integrity and sound business principles.
- Providing vision, business planning, and strategy.
- Establishing goals.
- Building and maintaining positive client relationships.
- Maintaining open communication with partners and team.
- Growing and leading a Water/Wastewater and Utilities practice.
- Our Project Managers/Practice Builders manage their projects profitably, transition work to qualified staff, grow and mentor staff, and act as a positive leader and mentor.
- With success, this individual will enjoy the rewards of an impressive bonus program with the potential to advance to ownership.
- 12+ years of civil engineering, design, and management experience on utility water projects.
- Registered Professional Engineer (P.E.) license.
- Established client contacts and relationships with local municipalities, counties, water management authorities, and regional/state agencies.
- Business development skills and a proven ability to win work.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and technical skills.
- Strong desire and ability to engage with clients in solving project problems.
- Ability to communicate positively at all organizational levels.
- Ability to manage and mentor staff and direct resources effectively.
- Demonstrated ability to manage projects profitably.
