Senior Reliability Engineer

Location:

Atlanta, GA (Jackson Hartsfield Airport)

Pay: $120,000-$140,000 with 20% target bonus

JLL is seeking a Senior Reliability Engineer to join our team!

This exciting opportunity is responsible for providing reliability engineering support for the operations and maintenance of buildings, infrastructure, and equipment assets. In coordination with the Engineering Services Reliability & Asset Management COE, the Senior Reliability Engineer will implement a strategic asset management plan that integrates clients’ existing systems, including the National Operations Center (NOC), energy management programs, maintenance programs, and life‑cycle asset management approaches.

The Engineer will develop analysis methods, acquire and analyze data from the NOC, and continually improve maintenance program strategy to meet outcomes‑based performance measures. The role also includes ongoing maintenance maturity assessments, root‑cause failure analysis, and development of action plans that balance quality, cost, and compliance.

Responsibilities Asset Management
  • Work under general direction of Engineering Services Reliability & Asset Management to deploy a strategic asset management roadmap and report back to the client’s lead engineer.
  • Integrate data from BAS, automated fault detection engines, maintenance programs, and capital planning processes to develop life‑cycle analyses and make repair vs. replacement recommendations.
  • Support all efforts in the execution of site‑level Asset Management & Reliability programs to increase machine/ facility system reliability and compliance.
  • Conduct program and system/equipment audits focused on safety, regulatory compliance, maintenance effectiveness, cost savings, and energy conservation.
  • Support JLL operational compliance program and follow company safety and health guidelines and other company policies.
  • Coordinate use of other engineers, technicians, and third‑party resources to achieve cost‑effective Asset Management & Reliability improvements.
Reliability Engineering
  • Create and manage preventative maintenance (PM) tasks for continuous improvement and PM optimization.
  • Rank the criticality of assets using Reliability Centered Maintenance approaches and define proactive maintenance approaches that are cost‑beneficial.
  • Create and conduct reliability studies and interpret drawings and schematics.
  • Develop risk mitigation strategies for critical assets across the portfolio.
  • Investigate new technologies for reliability improvements.
  • Consider cost impact when recommending action plans and perform root‑cause failure analysis to prevent failures.
  • Facilitate and support operational event and equipment failure investigations to ensure root causes are identified, corrective actions prescribed, and follow‑up monitoring conducted.
Condition‑Based Maintenance
  • Understand the mechanics and electrical aspects of moving and rotating equipment such as pumps, motors, gearboxes, and conveyors.
  • Plan and perform engineering operations, monitor operations center systems, and implement RCM programs.
  • Integrate condition‑based maintenance (CbM) and predictive testing & inspection (PT&I) technologies and conduct equipment condition assessments.
  • Experience with root‑cause analysis, equipment criticality ranking, PM/PD‑M optimization, defect elimination, and/or FMEA.
  • Experience with predictive maintenance technologies including vibration analysis, oil analysis, infrared thermography, ultrasound, and motor current analysis.
Workflow Management
  • Maintain complete and accurate records/plans within CMMS for equipment specifications, BOM, failure history, etc.
  • Develop and maintain key performance indicators of equipment reliability.
  • Ensure maintenance and reliability metrics are in place throughout the site, including planned/unplanned work, scheduling metrics, cost metrics, MTBF, and replacement asset value.
  • Analyze equipment history for future trends.
  • Collaborate with Maintenance and Planning groups.
Capital Asset Renewal/Capital Planning
  • Execute multi‑discipline facility condition assessments across labs, manufacturing, office, and distribution locations in the Americas.
