Engineer, Engineering Design & Technologists

Overview

The Engineer Design contractor position for client Gas assists in the planning, design, and development of technical standards for gas distribution infrastructure projects. The right candidate must be a self-starter, excellent communicator, critical thinker and able to make sound decisions.

• As our Engineer in the design group, a typical day might include:

• Working on gas storage or gas fueling station assignments

• Performing assignments involving the design of components or functionality of pipeline products

• Involved in the planning and design of mechanical equipment and components involving maintenance of mechanical equipment.

• Performing system balances to determine the best overall solution to solve system issues or identify system low points and methods to best solve them.

• Provide oversight and support for construction activities

• You have a high level of interpersonal skills, with the ability to leverage internal and external stakeholders to efficiently accomplish tasks and resolve issues

• You have the ability and initiative and to work in a self-guided manner and collaboratively

• You have a customer focused critical thinking mindset with a demonstrated ability to learn and become proficient in proposing solutions and completing tasks.

• You have excellent oral and written communication skills

• You can work across a matrix organization structure with horizontal and vertical teams

• BA/BS in Engineering (Mechanical, Civil or General)

• 1-3 years of progressive Engineering experience

• Or

• Equivalent academic education and experience

Preferred :
Engineer in Training (E.I.T.)

Required:

• Project Management

• Ability to communicate with all levels in the organization

• Computer Assisted Design/Geographic Information System - basic proficiency

• MS Office - advanced proficiency

• CAD/GIS - intermediate proficiency.
