* Supervise and direct daily operations of the engineering team to ensure optimal performance.
* Assign work orders and monitor completion for accuracy and quality.
* Address maintenance-related guest concerns in collaboration with department heads.
* Complete necessary mechanical, electrical, equipment, wall, and other maintenance repairs as necessary in collaboration with team members.
* Oversee preventive maintenance programs to meet safety and operational standards.
* Train, coach, and evaluate engineering staff to enhance skills and performance.
* Ensure compliance with ADA requirements and maintain inspection checklists.
* Monitor energy consumption and implement strategies to optimize efficiency.
* Manage equipment and supply inventory to support daily operations.
* Conduct periodic inspections of property assets to ensure maintenance meets standards.
* Administer key control, tool control, and security-related maintenance procedures.
* Coordinate with Security to maintain locking systems and sensitive equipment.
* Attend departmental and hotel-wide meetings to align with operational goals.
* Ensure adherence to OSHA regulations, safety procedures, and hotel policies.
* Collaborate with other departments to support smooth hotel operations and guest satisfaction.
* Demonstrate regular and reliable attendance.
* Complete other duties as assigned.
* Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in engineering or maintenance. Supervisor experience is preferred.
* Completion of courses in engineering or maintenance preferred.
* Must be able to read, write, and speak English fluently.
* Familiarity with basic tools, electrical systems, air conditioning units, and pumps.
* Ability to repair or replace PVC and copper piping, including soldering.
* Capable of basic equipment repairs (e.g., pump and motor replacement).
* Systems Knowledge:
Working knowledge of engineering computer programs related to preventive maintenance, energy management, and system controls.

* Physical Requirements:

Ability to bend, lift (up to 75 pounds), and stoop. Flexibility to work any shift, including weekends and holidays.
* Customer Service & Leadership:
Strong customer-service orientation and hospitality skills. Ability to train and mentor junior engineers (e.g., Engineer I, Engineer II, Engineer III). Capable of performing Engineer-on-Duty responsibilities, including facility readings and rounds.
