POSITION SUMMARY:
An established design firm in the Atlanta area is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to lead the design and coordination of electrical systems for commercial, retail, and mixed-use buildings. This is an exciting opportunity for a seasoned professional to bring their technical expertise and leadership skills to a collaborative, forward-thinking environment.
About the Role:
As a Senior Electrical Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in delivering high-quality designs while mentoring junior staff and ensuring project success. You'll work closely with in-house architecture and engineering teams to create innovative, efficient, and code-compliant electrical systems that meet client needs and project goals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and develop building electrical systems, including power distribution, lighting, and fire alarm systems.
- Perform system analysis, load calculations, and equipment selection to ensure optimal performance.
- Prepare detailed construction documents, technical specifications, and reports.
- Ensure compliance with relevant building codes, standards, and regulations.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to meet project objectives and deadlines.
- Manage or support multiple active projects, ensuring quality and efficiency.
- Provide mentorship and technical guidance to junior engineers and team members.
- Conduct occasional site visits and participate in client meetings to ensure project alignment and success.
