Senior Electrical Engineer
Location: Atlanta, GA
Employment Type: Full-Time
We are seeking an experienced Senior Electrical Engineer to join our growing team in Atlanta. This role is ideal for a technically strong engineer who excels in building systems design, enjoys leading projects and mentoring junior staff, and is comfortable working with multidisciplinary teams on complex projects.
Key Responsibilities- Apply advanced engineering knowledge to solve complex design challenges while ensuring compliance with industry standards, codes, and client requirements.
- Lead and collaborate with cross-functional teams including architects, engineers across all disciplines, project managers, and contractors.
- Deliver complete electrical engineering design packages for a wide range of clients, including federal, state, and local agencies; commercial and industrial organizations; and higher education institutions.
- Provide mentorship, oversight, and technical direction to junior engineers and designers, helping strengthen team capabilities.
- Support construction and commissioning activities, ensuring design intent, accuracy, and quality are upheld throughout the project lifecycle.
- Contribute to improving internal electrical design standards and perform system studies including load flow analysis, short-circuit analysis, and voltage drop calculations.
- 6-10 years of professional experience in Electrical Engineering.
- Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, architectural/electrical engineering, or electrical engineering technology from an ABET-accredited program.
- Registered Professional Engineer (PE) in Georgia or the ability to obtain licensure through reciprocity within three months of hire.
- Proven experience in building system design, including power distribution, lighting and control systems, grounding and lightning protection, emergency and uninterruptible power systems.
- Familiarity with electrical system modeling tools (e.g.,
ETAP, SKM, AGI
). - Knowledge of sustainable design practices.
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States and able to obtain a security clearance.
- Prior experience working in a consulting environment.
- Experience with federal government design projects.
- LEED Accreditation or LC Certification
. - Working knowledge of Revit and AutoCAD
.
