ResponsibilitiesThe Solutions Engineer will be a key team member on the Keysight Enterprise Sales team. This position will work closely with the assigned Regional Sales Manager and provide technical leadership and support to the region. The successful candidate will assess customer needs and facilitate solutions unique to their business.
- Proactively identify customer needs and understand business issues and drivers behind specific requests.
- Drive effective product and solution demos for customers as needed.
- Conduct and successfully complete Proof of Concept (POC) efforts while engaging customers, channel and tech partners, and managing demo gear to and from the customer.
- Respond in a timely manner to technical pre‑sales inquiries, RFI, and RFP requests.
- Effectively work as a team with the Regional Sales Manager to architect the solution (create Bill of Materials and Visio Drawings) and ensure it leverages Keysight solutions, fits into the overall customer architecture, and aligns with their business requirements.
- Coordinate and work with channel partners: identify, qualify, and close pre‑sales opportunities; deliver technical and sales methodology training to enable partners.
- Work with internal teams (Product Management, Support, and Engineering) to lead network architecture, security, and cloud discussions, and guide new feature requests.
- Assist peers: develop a knowledge base as a technical point of contact for the technology product line; gain a high level of functional knowledge of market verticals; deliver training in business skills or tactics.
- 8+ years’ experience in a Pre‑Sales Engineering role (preferred).
- 8+ years’ experience in network or cybersecurity operations.
- Experience working with channel and technical partners (preferred).
- Proficiency with network and cybersecurity architectures.
- Understanding of Cloud offerings such as VMware, OCI, AWS, Azure, or Google.
- Understanding of network visibility concepts and architectures of packet brokers, tap/aggregation, and inline network security.
- Familiarity with APM/NPM systems and network analyzers.
- Knowledge of SSL encryption and decryption.
- Hands‑on experience with architecture/implementation of network or security solutions within the last 12 months.
- API and/or scripting experience (plus).
Candidate must reside in the Atlanta, GA area for this role.
