Test Engineer P&C

Description

• The Test Engineer P&C 1 position requires 3-7 years of related experience and an accredited bachelor's degree in engineering.
• Job responsibilities include developing and executing detailed test plans for Protection & Control (P&C) systems to validate their performance, safety, and reliability against specified requirements.
• Implementing and managing testing procedures, tools, and methodologies to ensure thorough evaluation of P&C systems in various scenarios and conditions.
• Collaborating with design engineers, developers, and product managers to understand system functionalities and derive accurate and meaningful test criteria.
• Analyzing test data to identify deviations, anomalies, or issues in P&C system performance.
• Providing detailed reports and feedback to relevant stakeholders.
• Recommending modifications, enhancements, and updates to P&C systems based on test results and performance analysis.
• Ensuring that testing activities are in compliance with relevant regulatory standards, industry practices, and organizational quality assurance protocols.
• Creating comprehensive documentation of test protocols, results, analyses, and recommendations to facilitate transparent communication and future reference.
• Participating in troubleshooting and diagnostic activities to identify and resolve issues uncovered during testing.
• Collaborating with technical teams to facilitate solutions.
• Maintaining and calibrating testing equipment and apparatus to ensure accurate and reliable testing outcomes.
• Engaging in continuous improvement initiatives.
• Contributing to the refinement of testing methodologies, staying updated with technological advancements and industry trends related to P&C systems and testing, and building effective relationships with plant staff, design engineering staff and/or vendors.
