BIM Manager-Aviation Construction

Turner & Townsend Heery is seeking a BIM Manager to establish and lead a new Building Information Modeling (BIM) Integration Team within our Aviation client’s (DOA) Planning & Development (P&D) Bureau.

• Develop a BIM Execution Plan meeting all DOA/P&D needs and goals.
• Define the overall vision, strategy, and budget for the BIM Integration Team.
• Establish and lead the BIM Integration Team, producing and maintaining standards, manuals, workflows, and protocols.
• Collaborate with airport stakeholders – architects, engineers, design and construction teams, asset and facility management, and GIS.
• Identify technology and techniques to promote innovation and efficiency.
• Define workflows, clear roles and responsibilities, and ensure seamless integration and data consistency across projects.
• Implement change management and training for new BIM adoption.
• Work with software and hardware vendors to optimize the digital infrastructure.
• Monitor and enforce adherence to BIM protocols and procedures across projects.
• Supervise and evaluate new staff, handling employee concerns, directing work assignments, mentoring, and completing performance evaluations.
• Supervise consultants and contractors hired to implement project components.
• Coordinate with DOA IT to ensure the integrity, security, and availability of BIM data.

• Proven experience managing BIM or similar BIM platforms in a construction or architecture environment.
• Strong understanding of BIM processes, standards, and best practices.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficient in BIM software (e.g., Autodesk Revit, Navisworks) and other relevant design tools.
• Strong problem‑solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize tasks effectively.
• BIM certification (e.g., Autodesk Certified Professional) is a plus.
• Experience with cloud‑based collaboration tools and data management.
• Familiarity with construction project management processes and software.

• Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Engineering, or a comparable field of study.
• Proficiency with cloud‑based collaboration tools and data management.
