Morris Brown College is seeking qualified Adjunct Faculty to teach courses in the Department of Music. This position is designed for instruction delivered in an in-person/on-campus (nights and weekends) format. Position OverviewAdjunct faculty members serve as part time instructional staff responsible for delivering high quality undergraduate instruction. Faculty are expected to employ effective teaching strategies that promote critical thinking, student participation, and academic achievement. Adjunct instructors play an important role in supporting the mission of Morris Brown College by providing engaging learning experiences that prepare students for professional and academic success.
Instructional FormatCourses are delivered in person during evening and weekend hours on the Morris Brown College campus. Faculty should be prepared to accommodate the needs of nontraditional students and working professionals while maintaining academic rigor.
Primary Responsibilities- A master’s degree in the teaching discipline or a related field from an accredited institution.
- At least eighteen graduate semester hours in the subject area being taught.
- Demonstrated ability to effectively teach and support a diverse student population.
- Commitment to academic integrity and student success.
Adjunct faculty must complete required instructional technology training and demonstrate proficiency in the Morris Brown College Learning Management System, Brightspace, prior to being assigned a teaching load. Faculty teaching online courses must maintain regular engagement with students within the LMS.
CompensationAdjunct faculty compensation follows the Morris Brown College Adjunct Faculty Pay and Proration Schedule. Compensation is determined based on course load and instructional assignments.
