The University of North Georgia is accepting applications for a Temporary Steps to College Director . The Program Director coordinates the Steps to College summer program and is responsible for supervising teachers, student assistant(s), and students. Reports to Associate Dean of the College of Education and provides daily debriefings on project activities.

- Manage day-to-day operations of S2C summer sessions (space reservations, transportation, food, student conduct questions, planning with teachers, coordination of guest speakers and/or field trips, coordination of career-focused activities).
- Recruit, hire, train, and supervise S2C program participants, faculty, and staff.
- Participate in pre-program preparations, including program planning and student/guardian/family orientations.
- Collect, analyze, and report data on student attendance, grades, progress, and overall program effectiveness.
- Collaborate with participating school systems on continued program development, student recruitment, end-of-course assessments, and grade reports.
- Create and maintain comprehensive records on personnel, students, community contacts/communications, transportation.
- Collaborate with school districts, the associate dean and dean of the College of Education, and participating teachers on continued curriculum assessment and development.
- Proficiency with word processing
- Spanish fluency preferred.
- Bachelor's Degree required; preferably in Education, Applied Linguistics, or TESL.
- Experience teaching at the middle, secondary, or tertiary levels required.
