The Learning Experience & Curriculum Designer is a strategic and innovative learning professional responsible for designing and developing scalable, high‑impact learning solutions that empower our team members and leaders. This role creates curricula and learning experiences across multiple modalities, including in‑person, virtual instructor‑led training (VILT), eLearning, and blended learning programs, to build technical expertise, soft skills, and leadership capabilities that drive performance and align with Race Trac’s Performance Drivers, Core Values, and the Race Trac Way.
WhatYou’ll Do
- Curriculum Design & Development
- Architect comprehensive learning curricula for technical training, operational excellence, soft skills, and leadership development programs.
- Design engaging learning experiences for multi-modal delivery— in‑person, VILT, eLearning, and blended solutions.
- Apply adult learning principles, instructional design methodologies, and performance consulting practices to ensure relevant, high‑quality solutions.
- Translate complex topics into clear, accessible, and actionable learning content that resonates with team members at all levels.
- Incorporate modern learning strategies like microlearning, gamification, immersive simulations, and scenario‑based modules to maximize engagement and retention.
- Ensure all learning content is inclusive, accessible, and consistent with Race Trac’s brand and cultural standards.
- Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement
- Partner with HR, operations, and business leaders to assess learning needs, identify performance gaps, and design targeted learning paths.
- Collaborate with subject matter experts (SMEs) to build programs that reflect real‑world challenges and opportunities.
- Act as a strategic learning partner, ensuring all solutions align with Race Trac’s business strategy, EVP, and culture.
- Engage the right stakeholders early, ensuring their perspectives are incorporated from the start to build alignment, foster collaboration, and secure buy‑in for all learning initiatives.
- Measurement, Evaluation & Continuous Improvement
- Build metrics, feedback loops, and assessment tools to evaluate learning program effectiveness and ROI.
- Use data and insights to make continuous improvements to curriculum and delivery methods.
- Monitor and integrate emerging technologies and learning trends to keep Race Trac at the forefront of innovation.
- Innovation & Technology
- Leverage advanced authoring tools (e.g., Articulate Storyline, Rise, Adobe Creative Suite) and Race Trac’s LMS to create interactive, visually engaging content.
Explore AI‑driven learning tools, mobile platforms, and data analytics to optimize learner engagement and program impact. - Maintain an organized content lifecycle to ensure materials are up‑to‑date, accurate, and relevant to evolving business needs.
Required
- Bachelor’s degree in Instructional Design, Adult Learning, Educational Technology, or related field.
- 5+ years of experience in instructional design and curriculum development across multi-modal learning platforms.
- Proven expertise designing for technical, operational, soft skills, and leadership development programs.
- Proficiency in learning authoring tools (Articulate Storyline, Rise) and LMS platforms.
- Exceptional project management, collaboration, and communication skills.
- Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced, dynamic environment with multiple priorities.
- Comfortable with ambiguity and able to navigate evolving business needs with an entrepreneurial mindset, driving innovative and practical solutions.
- Experience designing programs for retail, service, or operations‑focused industries.
- Knowledge of mobile learning, accessibility standards, and gamification.
- Experience with learning analytics to measure program effectiveness.
- Familiarity with AI‑enhanced learning technologies and digital innovation.
