Perimeter College is seeking part-time instructors in EDUCATION who will play a key role in educating and supporting students.
Required ExperienceK-12 teaching experience is required.
Required EducationTo qualify to teach EDUCATION, applicants must have:
- A minimum of a master's degree in Education, and must be certified (or eligible for certification) to teach in the state of Georgia.
- A Ph.D. or Ed.D is preferred.
- Graduate coursework should focus on K-12 education and curriculum, as opposed to adult education, educational psychology, counseling education, higher education, or educational leadership or administration.
College teaching experience is preferred.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities- Ability to teach EDUCATION courses on the collegiate level
- Ability to teach effectively using a variety of methods
- Ability to relate to a diverse student population and facilitate student learning;
Effective oral and written communication skills - Demonstrated knowledge of instructional technology
Must be certified (or eligible for certification) to teach in the state of Georgia.
Pre-Employment RequirementsA criminal background check is required.
Work HoursClasses at Perimeter College are offered morning, afternoon and evening including weekends.
Salary$3075.00 for each 3-semester credit hour course taught.
