Limited Term Instructors are full‑time faculty hired on a semester‑to‑semester basis. The position is renewable for a maximum of three semesters and is dependent on enrollment.
Responsibilities- Provide 18 semester hours of instruction per semester.
- Provide student support and advising.
- Maintain an average of 10 office hours per week.
- Work effectively and professionally with colleagues.
- Teach a mix of in‑person and online classes.
A minimum of a master’s degree is required in the teaching discipline, or a master’s degree with at least 18 semester (or 27 quarter) graduate hours in relevant coursework completed by the anticipated date of appointment.
Preferred QualificationsPrior teaching experience, preferably at the collegiate level.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities- Ability to teach Accounting at the collegiate level.
- Ability to teach using a variety of methods, relate to students, and facilitate learning.
- Effective communication skills.
- Excellent organizational and teaching skills.
- Demonstrated knowledge of instructional technology and the ability to teach online.
A criminal background check is required.
Work HoursPosition may require non‑standard hours, including day, evening, online, hybrid, weekend, and/or other campus locations.
Salary10‑month salary commensurate with qualifications and experience.
