Job SummaryThe GFA is looking for Teaching Assistants (TAs) for various craft and graduate courses to assist faculty members and other GFA team members. TAs will need to have the following experience: deep knowledge of film and television production equipment; completed 12 credit hours of GFA coursework; and have at least one GFA instructor recommendation. TAs will support classroom instruction by helping to set up and take down equipment, work with students in the class, and other responsibilities, upon request.
The Teaching Assistant will support one class a semester, typically one day a week from 9AM - 5PM at one of the GFA’s training facilities (i.e. Trilith Studios, OFS Studios, etc.). The selected candidates will be subject to a background check from the University System Office.
Responsibilities- Assist faculty members with classroom instruction, equipment set up, breakdown, and other miscellaneous projects.
- Organize instructional space.
- Provide setup/take down assistance for technology associated with presentations and lectures.
- Record lecture given by professor, as requested.
- Deep knowledge of film and television production equipment.
- Completed 12 credit hours of GFA coursework.
- At least one GFA instructor recommendation.
