How

the Role Works

This is a permanent full‑time position commencing Term 2, 2026.

The Student Support Officer works within the Wellbeing Hub, maintaining a calm, orderly, and supportive environment. The role supports the daily operations of the Wellbeing Team by providing accurate record‑keeping and timely communication with families and staff.

Staff in the Wellbeing Hub collaborate to provide a responsive, caring, and professional service to students, families, and staff. The multidisciplinary team includes Deputy Principals, Heads of Student Wellbeing, Year Coordinators, Youth Workers, Chaplain, Community Health Nurse, Student Support Officers, and a Triage Assistant.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain the flow of the College’s Wellbeing Hub, responding to student needs and ensuring a calm and organised environment.
  • Assist with student attendance and sign‑in/sign‑out processes in accordance with College and Departmental procedures.
  • Liaise with students, parents/guardians, and staff to support routine wellbeing, attendance, and pastoral processes.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation using the Student Information System (SIS) and Compass platforms.
  • Monitor and action attendance‑related matters, including unexplained absences, in line with Departmental processes.
  • Provide a strong student‑reception service, including responding to queries and directing matters to the appropriate staff member.
What We’re Looking For

Applications are encouraged from proactive, organised, student‑centred individuals who enjoy working in a dynamic, student‑facing environment. The ability to build positive rapport with young people and to manage competing priorities is highly regarded.
