Job SummaryThe University of North Georgia is currently accepting applications for a Case Manager on the Oconee campus. The Case Manager serves as a non-clinical (non-confidential) advocate and case manager for undergraduate and graduate students s role requires sound judgment, compassion, and a student-centered approach to addressing referrals and coordinating care. Located on the Oconee campus, the Case Manager supports students across all six UNG campuses, including online learners, and reports to the Dean of Students - Oconee.

In alignment with the Office of the Dean of Students mission, the Case Manager advocates for and supports students as they pursue their goals role helps students navigate complex life circumstances, university policies and processes, while promoting integrity, safety, and well-being across the campus community.

Responsibilities- Manage a student support and academic alert caseload of mild to critical level concerns, providing individualized care, tailored intervention, and consistent follow-up to students and referring parties. Maintain student case files in Maxient, ensuring case notes and other records are maintained in accordance with university policies and federal and state regulations.
- Facilitate referrals to on and off campus services for students who face complex, hardship, and/or unforeseen circumstances that could affect their ability to be successful sult collaboratively with UNG offices and personnel, community organizations, and family members to assist students who experience various concerns that impact their progress and success elop collaborative partnerships.
- Create and sustain campaign efforts to educate faculty and staff on how to support students of concern, including how and when to make appropriate referrals. Provide educational opportunities to students on services provided by the Dean of Students Office. Represent the Office of the Dean of Students and Division of Student Engagement and Success at a variety of university events and on committees including:
Live Well UNG, Hey Day, and Constitution Day, among others. - Assist students in career exploration according to activities such as interest/values inventories and skills assessment; examine potential majors and programs of study or paths that align with strengths; review resources for occupational exploration;
Handshake and job search strategies; resume development and critique; interview preparation, portfolio building and exploration of appropriate experiential learning opportunities. Foster positive relationships, serve as a resource, and provide support to local employers. Conduct outreach and provide instruction related to career development and actively engage audiences at orientations, Nighthawk Previews, workshops and other events. Participates in regular meetings with Career Services. - Assist with data analysis to identify and assess evolving issues impacting student success and effectiveness of intervention models and resource delivery.
- Provide support for food pantry operations, assisting with basic tasks as needed to ensure smooth day-to-day functioning.
- Master s degree required, preferred in social work, higher education, counseling, public health, public administration, student affairs, etc.
- Minimum one year of working with student issues including Residence Life, Orientation, Advising, Student Counseling, or Case Management.
