We invite applications for a Full-Time Assistant Professor in the Tenure Stream in the School of Medicine in the Department of Computational and Systems Biology (CSB) at the University of Pittsburgh's School of Medicine.

Responsibilities- Systems Genetics. Blend large-scale experimental and computational approaches to map the connections between genetic changes and traits (including disease). Translate genomes into mechanistic insights and actionable understanding (e.g., precision therapy).
- Molecular Mechanism and Therapeutics. Understand and exploit the intricate interplay of proteins and/or other biological macromolecules. Reveal molecular forces driving shapes, interactions, and dynamics, and/or discover therapeutics that usefully modulate human model systems.
We welcome candidates who combine 'wet' experimental approaches with 'dry' computational approaches, or candidates focused more exclusively on computational biomedical sciences.
Mentorship and ProgramsThe successful candidate will have the opportunity to mentor students in multiple interdisciplinary graduate programs, including the Joint Carnegie Mellon University–University of Pittsburgh Ph.D. Program in Computational Biology, the Integrative Systems Biology Ph.D. program, and the Computational Biomedicine and Biotechnology Master s Program. We especially seek candidates who have a documented interest in mentoring and other activities to promote engagement and well-being of others.
