Overview
THE ROLE The Lead Primary School Teacher builds strong foundational skills in reading, writing, math, and character in Grades K-2. You ensure scholars master essential standards through joyful, structured instruction, small-group support, and strong relationships that set them up for long-term success. This posting is for a Lead Teacher position in Grade K, Grade 1 or Grade 2.
The PersonAs The Lead Teacher, You Will
- Teach standards-aligned lessons daily using Ethos curricula
- Provide targeted small-group instruction based on data
- Hold high expectations for engagement, independence, and academic growth
- Communicate consistently and clearly with families about scholar progress
- Collaborate with your teaching team and instructional coaches
- Track scholar data to guide instructional decisions
- Participate in professional learning, family events, and school traditions
- Reinforce classroom systems that support learning, routines, and social-emotional growth
The Must Haves
Prior Experience
- Experience teaching in an elementary school setting
- Strong classroom management and skill in data-driven instruction
Education
- Bachelor’s degree required
- Early childhood or elementary education certification preferred
