Family Program Coordinator

The purpose of the Family Program Coordinator is to provide training, parent coaching, mentoring and discipleship for Missionary Training School students’ families and children in a manner that nurtures and challenges the whole family and helps to meet their emotional and spiritual needs during their time in Atlanta and beyond. This ministry role is full-time and support-raising is required. The Family Program Coordinator has the ability to work on site and from home on a regular basis.

• Must personally embrace GFM’s purpose, vision, values and statement of faith and identify as a maturing believer in Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior
• Must have extensive training in TCK preventive care
• Must have at least one year of overseas experience
• Must demonstrate humility, teachability, and an ability to work well with others
• Must display advanced interpersonal and communication skills (Gmail, Slack, etc.)
• Must function well both independently and in a team environment
• Must have high shepherding skills and capacity to show empathy through active listening
• Must have a good understanding of issues that families and TCKs face on the field
• Must be available for the first month of MTS semesters, last two weeks of MTS semesters, planning and during retreats
• Strongly suggest being available for Missionary Resiliency & Care Week and Marriage & Singleness week

• Counsel and support the spiritual, emotional, and mental needs of the Support Hub, Global Leadership Team, HUB 1 & 2 TCKs and parents
• Research and collect current resources regarding TCK care
• Help collect and develop resources that will help the TCK Care staff at each GFM location
• Develop and implement, or align programs and initiatives with GFM’s strategic direction to develop long term, healthy disciple makers
