General Obstetrics and Gynecology Faculty Position – Emory University Hospital Midtown
This position is an academic faculty role in the Division of General Gynecology & Obstetrics at Emory University Hospital Midtown. Applicants should hold an academic appointment (Assistant Professor, Associate Professor or Professor) commensurate with experience and qualifications.
DescriptionThe division seeks an experienced physician committed to an academic career in general obstetrics and gynecology. The applicant will hold the rank of Assistant Professor, Associate Professor or Professor, commensurate with qualifications and experience.
Duties and Responsibilities- Teaching medical students and residents.
- Participation in the Obstetric Rapid Response Team and in-house labor and delivery call coverage.
- Providing inpatient and outpatient obstetric and gynecologic care, including surgery.
- Serving the university in teaching, research, and clinical service tailored to career goals.
- Supervising mid-level providers at clinical sites.
- Delivering excellent patient care and expanding access for routine obstetrical and gynecologic patients in Emory clinical practices.
- Participating in Grand Rounds, M&M Conferences, Journal Club, Division meetings and other departmental activities.
- Mentoring medical students and residents.
- Graduate of an accredited ACGME obstetrics and gynecology residency.
- Board Eligible or Board Certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology.
- Meet criteria for Credentialing and Privileges.
- Georgia Composite Medical Board licensure required prior to commencement of employment.
NOTE:
Position tasks are required to be performed in‑person at an Emory University location; remote work is not an option.
